Babysitter training:

This 6-hour course is ideal for current and future babysitters ages 11-15. It teaches them it teaches them safety in general, and the safety of children in their care. In a fun, interactive environment, participants will learn the responsibilities and qualities of being a good babysitter. This course was developed by the American Red Cross and is supported by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., Boy Scouts of America, YMCA of the U.S.A., Boys and Girls Clubs, and 4H. Babysitter's Handbook & First Aid Kit included in $30.00 fee. (Participation card)

Basic Aid Training (B.A.T.)

This 6-hour course is designed for participants 8 to 10 years old. It teaches the basic skills and knowledge necessary to identify and prevent potentially harmful situations. The ability to treat common injuries, and to respond correctly in emergency situations is also included. The program emphasizes prevention, and highlights its importance in reducing injuries. (Participation card). Course fee: $15.00 (includes course materials)
