ALL AREAS

Disaster Action Team Member - Provide local assistance to help those who have experienced a natural or man-made disaster in your area with food, clothing, or shelter assistance.  Also, provide relief to emergency workers on lengthy assignments.

Armed Forces Emergency Services Caseworker - Provide emergency communications from family members to their loved ones in the active armed forces. 

Health and Safety Instructor - Teaches courses at local businesses or for community members.  Could specialize in a number of areas from Adult CPR, First Aid, or even Lifeguarding.

Winnebago County Only

Senior Friend - Be matched with a resident of Winnebago County age 55 or older who is in need of a friendly visitor from time to time.  A minimum of 4 hours a month is requested.

Front Desk Assistant - Answer phones and greet clients with a friendly smile, assist with mailings and other miscellaneous taks. Hours we need most filled are12:30pm- 4:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Community Disaster Education Presenter - Do educational presentations in the community to various age groups on preparedness initiatives (i.e. Tornado Safety, Home Evacuation Plans, etc.).

First Aid Station Worker - Staff community events in the Winnebago County area such as Country USA, County Fair, and EAA providing First Aid care for on-site injuries.

Public Relations Volunteer Pool - Do you have the enthusiasm to go to public events and talk about the Red Cross?  Our PR volunteer pool works fairs, booths, check presentations, and other Red Cross appearances to inform the public about the progams and services of the Red Cross.
